ABOUT
At NOW Yoga, we believe people need to feel secure, supported, welcomed, and accepted to be able to show up to the mat and have the kind of transformative process that can come from a yoga practice.
The Accessible Yoga Scholarship is inspired by our community and aims to break down financial barriers for people wanting to practice or teach yoga. Anyone who identifies as BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, or any other traditionally underrepresented person can apply. Recipients will receive between 50%-100% discounts on teacher training and memberships.
There is a possibility that every yoga class can feel welcoming to every student - but not without change. Our community needs to keep evolving until every person who wants to practice yoga truly feels that they can.
how we fund scholarships
Late Cancellation/No Show fees from studio classes
Members may add recurring $10 or $20 support funds to their monthly memberships
One time donations
Monthly Unlimited Membership Scholarship
3 Unlimited Monthly Membership partial scholarships will be awarded every 6 months.
Scholarships will cover 50% of the membership cost.
Applications for scholarships are due June 15th and December 15th.
Recipients will be chosen on July 1st and January 1st.
Once chosen, the recipient will have 3 days to accept or an alternate person will be chosen.
NOW School of Yoga Scholarship
One full scholarship and one partial (50%) scholarship will be awarded for training.
Applications for scholarships are due 45 days prior to the training start date.
Recipients will be chosen 30 days prior to the training start date.
Once chosen, the recipient will have 3 days to accept or an alternate person will be chosen.
Scholarship Requirements
Applicants must identify as BIPOC, LGBTQIA, or other underrepresented individuals.
You must complete, and submit the application to apply.
Other
Once Monthly Unlimited Membership Scholarship expires, the individual may continue their membership at a 20% discount.
Individuals who have been chosen for scholarships may reapply one year after being chosen.
